Baroque Palace

Details

The Palais Rasumofsky is a historical building from the 1800s that has been recently renovated and transformed into a private residence and art gallery. The space now houses a centralized and automated system for the control of audio, video, lightning, blinds, heating, security and more. An AMX 16×16 HDBaseT Enova DGX Digital Media Switcher was installed in the Palace’s basement, to distribute content to any of the ten TV displays in the residence and in the art gallery. The equipment was placed in the basement, in an air conditioned room, far away from any of the living areas. In fact, there is no visible equipment in the home itself, except for the TV sets and the wall-mounted control panels. The Palace was wired with new Cat6a cabling, with runs as long as 90 meters. Future expansions may include usage of existing Cat5e cable in the premises, and fiber for distances above 100m. HDBaseT provided an easy solution to account for future redecoration with the ease of installing standard RJ-45 connectors in several places where the TVs may one day be placed
