At GOAT, winner of Best Pub to Watch Sport at the Great British Pub Awards 2026, every seat has a view of the action, and more than one game can play at once. Football runs in the main room, golf in another area and boxing in the booths, all controlled from behind the bar.
It didn’t start that way. With 14 televisions of a similar brand, the pub’s IR remotes clashed: changing the channel on one set could change another, and during busy fixtures staff were managing screens instead of the room. HDA replaced the remotes with a centralised system built on MHUB S, which distributes four Sky sources to 14 displays, 13 indoors and one outside. Powered by HDBaseT, it sends 4K video from a single rack to every screen with no perceptible delay, independent of the venue’s data network. Staff now switch sources, channels and volume across nine independent audio zones from one uControl interface, and one button sets the whole venue for everyday service or match day. The AV now sits behind the experience rather than in front of it.
