Project Scope
Install an advanced AV solution in the School’s lecture theater, as part of a broad modernization of the space.
Goals
- Transform pupils’ learning experience, in preparation for their adult lives
- Emulate university and professional workspaces for presentations and pitching
- Drive increased use of the School’s lecture theater
- Support the new Charterhouse Entrepreneurship Diploma program
- Ensure pupils and teachers alike can use the lecture theater AV equipment, easily and efficiently.
Solution
With the renovation of the lecture theater entirely funded by donations from the School’s community, the transformation of the AV solution began.
Prime AV, the integrator for the project, recommended Kramer as the ideal technology vendor for the new AV system. Kramer was chosen for the high robustness, reliability, and ease of integration of its products, and because the Kramer Control system is sophisticated without being complicated, delivering a good user experience. The Kramer equipment installed included a control keypad (RC-74DL), a room controller (SL-1N), and a presentation switcher/scaler (VP-440X).
Results
- Charterhouse now has an advanced teaching auditorium suited to a world-class campus
- Teachers educate and present in a modern and engaging style
- Pupils can practice live presentation skills using advanced AV equipment
- Utilization of the lecture theater has increased across all student levels and academic disciplines, plus external parties
