Appointed to the HDBaseT Alliance presidency in May of 2023, Effi is responsible for leading the strategic advancement of the technology, including helping to bring innovative products to market and enhance market education and adoption.  Additionally, Effi also serves as Co-Founding member Valens Semiconductor’s representing member and Chairman of the Alliance’s Board of Directors.

Prior to her appointment as President, Effi served as the Chair of the Alliance’s Marketing Committee, pioneering the build-out of one of the industry’s most robust communities.  An accomplished veteran of the Professional AV industry, Goldstein holds a BSc. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Ben-Gurion University and is a past recipient of the Motorola Corporate Women’s Business Council Award for Strategic Business Impact.

Mahesh Bala

Mahesh Bala represents Sony Pictures Entertainment on the HDBaseT Alliance Board of Directors. He is a technologist with over 20 years of experience in digital video, OTT media services, cybersecurity, content protection and software development realms. In his current role as Vice President, Worldwide Media Technology, Mahesh leads the digital policy team at SPE and is responsible for technical evaluations of studio distribution deals worldwide. He has worked with organizations developing security specifications such as AACS/AACS2, HDCP, DTCP/DTCP2, Global Platform and industry associations such as APEX and MPAA.

Mahesh has earned a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Master of Science degree from Missouri S&T and completed executive programs at UCLA Anderson and UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. In his leisure time he enjoys hiking with his family and any kind of water sport.

Sung-Ryul Yun

Sung-Ryul Yun represents Samsung on the HDBaseT Alliance Board of Directors. He had worked for communications and broadcasting systems as a researcher at Samsung R&D for 10 years. After moving Visual Display in Samsung he has worked for broadcasting and connectivity standards since 2013 and he also served as a dispatcher to develop European broadcasting systems and products at Samsung R&D in the UK from 2016 to 2020. Sung-Ryul is currently working for worldwide broadcasting and connectivity technology in the TV Business.

Do Kyun Kim

Mr. DK (Do Kyun) Kim served in the Digital TV System Development field for over 10 years as a H/W, S/W Engineer in RF Systems, Video Systems and 3D Video Systems as an LG Electronics representative. He has also represented the HDMI forum Board of Directors since 2015. Additionally, DK Kim has participated in the Board of Directors of VESA Forum starting 2017. He is particularly interested in product wired connectivity standards.

Dana Milner

Dana Milner is the HDBaseT Alliance’s General Legal Counsel. Dana is an expert corporate counsel, with extensive global experience with leading technology companies and growing start-ups on various local and international markets. Dana’s professional background includes serving as legal counsel to Amdocs for a period of ten years, both as in-house legal counsel and as an external lawyer.

Earlier, Dana worked as a corporate associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, a large top-tier New York law firm, as part of the private equity and VC team, advising sponsors and various institutional and individual investors on private equity investments and activities. Dana is a member of the Israeli Bar since 1996 and holds an LL.B degree from Tel Aviv University and an LL.M degree in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law from Fordham University School of Law, New York.
