HDBaseT Alliance Privacy Charter
HDBaseT Alliance is committed to strengthening and protecting the privacy rights of all its Members and data subjects. As such it has introduced strict controls to ensure that personal data that is collected during its activities is protected and that it adheres to local and international laws.
To further ensure that values of data protection are maintained throughout its organization, it has adopted the following Charter and privacy principles and incorporated such into its Code of Conduct and activities.
In accordance with Article 5 from the GDPR, HDBaseT Alliance has adopted the following privacy principles:
- Transparency Principle
HDBaseT Alliance is open about the use of its practices relating to the collection and processing of your personal data. It will continue to provide updated information through its Privacy Center. Data subjects can access the Privacy Center for information about the use of its private information and to make changes if required. - Collection Limitation Principle
HDBaseT Alliance will only collect personal data that is required for its business activities and will collect such data by lawful and fair means, obtaining consent where appropriate. - Data Quality & Specific Purpose Principle
HDBaseT Alliance will take steps to ensure that data collected is relevant for the purpose for which it is to be used and that such data is accurate and kept up-to-date. - Limitation of Use Principle
HDBaseT Alliance will collect data only for the purpose specified at time of collection. Personal data will not be used for purposes outside of the original intended and specified purpose, and not shared with other third-parties, except with the consent of the data subject or by authority of the law, and the data subject will be notified if such original intention changes. - Security Safeguards Principle
HDBaseT Alliance has implemented security safeguards against such risks as loss or unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure of data. HDBaseT Alliance will continue to update such safeguards to ensure that the data that it has collected remains safe. - Limited Retention & Right of Deletion Principle
HDBaseT Alliance does not retain personal data longer than necessary and will remove data after its no longer required or following the request of the data subject. - Protection and Data Integrity Principle
HDBaseT Alliance maintains that it uses state of-the-art tools and technologies to ensure data security and integrity and protect personal data from loss, damage and destruction.
